What do we do?

The Souled Store is one India's fastest growing youth focused lifestyle brand. We started in 2013 as a homegrown Indian brand and today we are one of the largest online merchandising platforms with licenses like Disney, Warner Bros., WWE, IPL, Viacom18 to name a few. Apart from selling products with themed designs such as superheroes, movies, TV shows, and cartoons, the brand also is at the forefront of the latest youth style and fashion trends. In addition to core men and women wear apparel categories, we are also in the process of expanding to new categories and we are expanding across action figures, backpacks and collectibles and are scaling in footwear and kidswear

Although we are primarily an online brand, we've expanded in the offline retail space as well and have 40 stores across India with plans for expansion pan India.

Role Overview:

The Retail Training Lead / Manager Training is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing the training strategy for all retail stores. This role ensures that retail employees—from sales associates to store managers—receive structured training on customer experience, product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational excellence. The Training Head will lead a team of Regional Trainers and coordinate with Store-Level Training Champions to drive performance and consistency across select stores.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Strategy & Development


• Develop a scalable retail training framework aligned with The Souled Store's brand values and business goals.


• Design structured training programs covering customer experience, product knowledge, sales, and store operations.


• Oversee e-learning modules, workshops, and hands-on learning initiatives.


• Continuously refine training content based on market trends, customer feedback, and store performance data.

2. Team Leadership & Collaboration


• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Regional Trainers to ensure effective training delivery.


• Work closely with Store Managers and Store-Level Training Champions to reinforce daily training implementation.


• Collaborate with HR, Retail, and Operations teams to align training programs with company objectives.

3. Training Execution & Performance Monitoring


• Oversee the implementation of training sessions, ensuring timely execution.


• Utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to track employee progress and completion rates.


• Establish KPIs such as NPS scores, conversion rates, employee retention, and training effectiveness.


• Conduct store visits and training audits to assess training impact.

4. Continuous Improvement & Reporting


• Collect feedback from employees, customers, and managers to refine training programs.


• Stay updated on industry best practices and integrate innovative training methods.


• Present monthly and quarterly reports on training effectiveness, team performance, and business impact.

Key Qualifications & Skills:


• Experience: 8+ years in Retail Training, Learning & Development, or Customer Experience Training, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or premium retail brands.


• Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team of trainers and collaborate across departments.


• Training Expertise: Hands-on experience in designing and delivering retail training programs at scale.


• Analytical Skills: Ability to track KPIs, measure training effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.


• Communication Skills: Strong ability to coach, mentor, and engage retail employees.


• Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and data analytics.


• Passion for Retail: Understanding of customer behaviour, sales psychology, and product education.
