About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in network device deployment in telecom environments. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work effectively in live telecom settings.

Responsibilities

  • Network device deployment in telecom environments.
  • Router configuration using CLI and automation scripts/tools.
  • IP addressing and subnetting, WAN technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with NX-OS switches and Cisco firewall platforms.
  • Strong command of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and Layer 2/3 network operations.
  • Software image installation, config generation, and automation-based provisioning.
  • Comfortable working in live telecom environments (data centers, central offices, cell sites).
  • Knowledge of Telecom core routers and backhaul networks.
  • Traffic migration planning, execution, and rollback procedures.
  • Licensing management for Cisco or equivalent platforms.

Qualifications

  • Valid CCNP certification (minimum); CCIE preferred.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in router configuration using CLI and automation scripts/tools.
  • Strong command of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and Layer 2/3 network operations.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with NX-OS switches and Cisco firewall platforms.
  • Experience with software image installation, config generation, and automation-based provisioning.
