Job Overview

CACI Network Services is a rapidly expanding specialist IT and Networks consultancy.

A skilled Network Engineer joins our Ultra Low Latency Team to deploy and plan clients' network infrastructure.

  • Deploy technology changes to support DC services.
  • Plan, manage, and implement LAN infrastructure for end-user services requirements.
  • Patching schedules for facilities to cable network equipment.
  • Diagrams for Network Operations.
  • Inventory management.

Create detailed implementation plans for RFCs.

  • Document pre- and post-checks for change verification purposes.
  • Understand and document back-out plans, clearly identifying back-out points.
  • Identify points of no return.

Support essential services by planning changes with a best approach mindset.

  • Identify zero-downtime opportunities for hosted services.
  • Plan and implement changes with a cost-effective resource strategy.

Document change risks and mitigation tactics.

  • Document impact of planned technology changes and expected output from verification.

Document network estate for Operation Support and change planning.

  • Maintain infrastructure database.
  • Complete network diagrams to a high standard.

Peer review and validation of technical deployment plans.

  • Provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high standards of detail and quality.

Key Skills:

  • Cisco Routing & Switching.
  • Exchange ULL COLO network setup.
  • Ultra Low Latency environment experience.
  • CCNP/CCIE certification or equivalent.
  • Check Point CCSA/CCSE.
  • Arista.
  • Market data experience.
  • Experience in Exchange/Client on-boarding.
  • Cisco certified Network Engineer with 5-6 years of senior project engineer experience.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Strong experience working in Financial Services.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Highly organized individual.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Analyse, review, and understand network topologies.
  • Coordinate multiple projects efficiently.
  • Good understanding of networking principles.
  • Good documentation skills using MS Office suite and Visio.
  • Good customer-facing skills.
  • Good understanding of Load Balancing technologies (F5 preferred).
