Network Solutions Architect

Job Description:

As a key member of our network services team, this role focuses on creating innovative solutions and services for Marriott Associates and contractors.

The successful candidate will work with new technologies like Wireless solutions, preferably with Juniper MIST, Palo Alto SDWAN, fabric-based LANs, AI enabled solutions, and Cloud based Voice solutions to design, engineer, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN/WiFi networks.

The job involves managing network services and capacity, project planning, governance of third-party service providers, level 3 escalation support, collaboration with other teams, and developing initiatives to simplify and standardize the network designs and operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking with a focus on wireless, SD-WAN, and LAN infrastructure.
  • Expertise in enterprise wireless protocols, RF site surveys, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with SD-WAN (Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN experience preferred), policy configuration, site provisioning, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding and implementation experience with Fabric-based LAN architectures.
  • Proficient in Layer 2/3 networking concepts, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and multicast.
  • Skilled in network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tools.
Key Skills and Attributes:

Other key skills and attributes include experience with automation, AI, and machine learning, development and deployment of virtualized network services, cloud networking solutions, and vendor experience with Cisco, HPE/Mist, Palo Alto Networks, NetScout, Thousand Eyes, NetMRI, ServiceNow, Oracle SBCs, and VOIP.
