Job Description: Key Account Manager

The Opportunity

Our Sales team supports customers by providing clinical information, educational resources, and training programs to meet patient goals.

Your role plays a vital part in contributing to global medical advancement and breakthroughs that impact future generations with your skills and creativity.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Focus and Coverage

  • Proficiently handle therapy and product-related communication with medical professionals.
  • Identify key medical practitioners, prioritize customer coverage, and engage in customer-focused selling to drive prescription sales.
  • Plan visits to doctors, chemists, and wholesalers, maintain high customer confidence, and explore new business opportunities.

Sales Performance & Results

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective sales strategies and product knowledge.
  • Enhance productivity levels by specializing in product and therapy knowledge, detailed skills, and exploring new business avenues.

Planning & Sales Performance Management

  • Strategically plan for demand generation, execute field work, follow up on feedback, and handle special campaigns.
  • Cover nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, and explore new business growth avenues within the assigned therapy area.

Key Account Management

  • Nurture strategic relationships with top accounts, possess in-depth company and customer knowledge, and strategize for long-term mutual benefits.

Communication Meets

  • Participate in meetings, conduct medical education programs, and guide team members within the therapy area.

Coaching and Supervision

  • Train and mentor new sales professionals, provide guidance in the therapy area, and liaise with stockists and distributors.

Company, Industry & Product Knowledge

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of company products, disease, competitor products, and promotional strategies.
  • Adhere to adverse event reporting guidelines and market analysis to maintain a quality customer list.

Building Relations

  • Lead scientific engagement, maintain relationships with customers, and work collaboratively to meet customer needs.

Distribution & Resource Allocation

  • Ensure inventory levels, prevent product expiry, and manage resource allocation efficiently.

Adherence to Internal Tools & Processes/ Administration/Values

  • Submit reports, adhere to company values, and undertake additional responsibilities as required.

What You Must Have

  • Degree in Sciences/B Pharm or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years in Oncology Sales
  • Proven ability to articulate data-driven findings and provide actionable recommendations.
