Operation Head

Job Overview :

The Operations Head for Manufacturing Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the manufacturing process.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong operational acumen to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

The Operations Head will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless production, meeting quality standards, and achieving operational excellence.

Strategic Planning:
a. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations.

b. Collaborate with senior management to align manufacturing objectives with overall business goals.

Operational Excellence:
a. Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality targets are met.

b. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Resource Management:
a. Manage and optimize resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.

b. Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.

Quality Assurance:
a. Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards.

b. Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to identify and address areas for improvement.

Supply Chain Management:
a. Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.

b. Optimize inventory levels to balance production needs with working capital requirements.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
a. Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental compliance standards.

b. Ensure a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Cost Management:
a. Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations.

b. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective measures.

Collaboration and Communication:
a. Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.

b. Interface with other departments, such as engineering, finance, and sales, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Regulatory Compliance:
a. Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.

b. Work with regulatory bodies as needed to address compliance issues.

Performance Metrics:
a. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations.

b. Regularly monitor and report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications /

CTC OFFERED :
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience / Age :

Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on Operations Management.

Age around 45 and outer limit 50 years

Required Skill:

  • Candidate must know to speak Kannada
  • Proven experience in a senior operations management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead crossfunctional teams.
  • Indepth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a resultsoriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
