Head - Finance

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in finance roles, with a strong preference for candidates with startup experience. The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills and a proven track record of success in financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, plans, and budgets to ensure the company's financial health and sustainability.

- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making processes.

- Provide insightful recommendations to optimize financial performance and drive profitability.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and industry standards.

- Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings.

Cash Flow Management:

- Monitor cash flow projections and manage working capital to support operational needs.

- Implement strategies to optimize cash flow efficiency and mitigate financial risks.

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.

Risk Management:

- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to safeguard company assets and investments.

- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to maintain financial integrity and prevent fraud.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and professional development.

Strategic Planning and Decision Support:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives and long-term financial goals.

- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CPA qualification preferred.

- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

- Experience working in startup environments is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
