· Assist in preparing request for quotations (RFQ's) based on projections for combined plant quantity and material requirements

· Evaluate, purchase and expedite materials for our facilities at a competitive cost.

· Must be knowledgeable of marketplace cost drivers. Close interaction with corporate and plant personnel is required.

· Develop strong knowledge of the OEM equipment marketplace as well as plant operations.

· Utilize purchasing terminology (or be comfortable learning it)

· Utilize Supplier Relationship Management programs that focus on Quality, Productivity and Innovation.

· Analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends suppliers, and schedules deliveries.

· Assists the plants in following up to expedite delivery and shipment.

· Checks and approves invoices to maintain necessary records and files for efficient operation.

· Collect, analyze and monitor category specific information on spend, supplier performance, user adoption and compliance, standards and specifications, industry benchmarks.

· Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.

· Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.

· Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.

· Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws.
