Sales Support Specialist

You will be working as Sales Support Specialist - Bid Management at global grade 13/ 14 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Support Manager and will be responsible for supporting the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.
Your responsibilities- Preparing of technical or commercial greenfield solution offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit and Sales organization directives
- Interfacing towards customer or local divisions, ensuring timely and proactive communication. Bidding during the whole sales phase, from lead until winning the order
- Setting up and collaborating with ABB group functions, such as Legal, Finance, Taxes and Insurance
- Coordinating with procurement team, maintaining support from internal and third- party suppliers.
- Analyzing project proposals cost plans and prepare for risk review
- Defining cost for the proposed solution, communicating to sales organization, preparing win or loss analysis for the bids prepared
- Delivering high quality bid documentation meeting bid timelines
- B.E or B. Tech in Instrumentation or Electronics
- Minimum 12 years of experience in bidding / tendering for Automation (DCS / PLC/ Safety PLC/ Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries
- Experience in handling MAC or Turnkey bids, experience from engineering and project execution
- Knowledge of ABB automation products like 800xA / Symphony Plus, market requirements and standards within the industry
