About Our Client

Our client is a Kolkata headquartered listed company with decades of experience in design, manufacturing, and sales of Distribution & Power Transformers. They are expecting a high rate of growth in terms of new opportunities and areas of business for which they want to hire a Head of Sales who can lead the business expansion.

Job Description

Identify potential clients for power and distribution transformers in India from understanding and anticipating their needs, pitching Marson's capabilities, and closing the deal. Early identification and qualification of sales leads (develop sales funnel) Research and analyze Market Size, Market Share, Market Segments, Economic & Regulatory Drivers, Applications & Technologies Products /Systems / Services, Channels to Market, Industry Trends, Competitors, SWOT Analysis, etc. Utilize market intelligence against current and future strengths /capabilities in alignment with the Transformers business line business strategy. Identify Market / Customer needs and preferences - Influence Product Roadmaps. Develop regional business and marketing plans. Lead the sales team to develop target account lists, account profiles and strategic sales plans. Represent Marsons Ltd in front the customers and act as the point of contact for sales, customer service and delivery. Leverage customer relationships for cross-sell and upsell opportunities as well as for acquiring referrals in the market. Utilize market understanding for deepening the network within the customer base. Train and develop the existing team members for setting up relevant KPIs and targets for achieving organisational goals. Recruit and train new team members keeping in mind the mid- and long-term growth prospects.

The Successful Applicant

15+ years of experience in leading sales & business development of power and distribution transformers at regional and national level for renowned brands Engineer with an MBA Ability to identify potential clients and pitch products to drive value-driven conversations that can convert to deals. Ability to develop relationships in the relevant prospect and customer base to represent Marsons' business interests. Ability to develop relationships with the relevant channel partners, EPCs, and influencers in this market. Excellent at understanding detailed technical specifications of the product portfolio to position them effectively in front of the clients including various applications and suitability as per specifications. Excellent at tracking the markets- customers, competition, regulations, technologies etc to consult the relevant teams of strategic planning. Be able to work under pressure and dynamic work environment. Excellent communication and team management skills Must be open to travel as and when required.
