Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Platform EngineeringIn this role, we are seeking a highly experienced Platform Engineering leader with experience in Product engineering organization to join our growing team of product engineering services.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary engineering leader with a knack for building secure, scalable platforms that accelerate software engineering delivery, improve developer proficiency and best developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the vision and roadmap for Product Engineering Excellence organization ensuring alignment with overall business goals of accelerated and high quality product feature development, maintenance.
  • Build, lead a team of talented platform engineers, Dev Ops engineers, release engineers fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Develop and implement a robust platform engineering architectural roadmap that is scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Partner and provide engineering leadership to various product engineering team to help them build, deliver, and release high quality products in a faster possible and automated development approach.
  • Champion best practices in platform engineering, Dev Ops, Release Engineering, security, and continuous improvement
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve.
  • Manage budgets and resources to deliver business outcomes.
  • Lead cross-disciplinary teams, making hard prioritization choices, and ensuring complete visibility of roadmap, increase adoption of best practices, status, and risk to stakeholders.
Qualifications we seek in youMinimum Qualifications / Skills

  • Work experience in platform engineering domain including Dev Ops, Release engineering leadership roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Hands on experience in leading, implementing / practicing platform engineering approaches.
  • Hands on experience with different tools like , plutora etc. and experience of migration to new platform engineering tool set.
  • Hands on experience in architecting and building solutions using different programming languages like Java, Python , terraform etc.
  • Deep expertise and hands on experience in platform engineering, Dev Ops, release engineering including scalability,reliability,security, and performance optimizations.
  • Hands on experience in Cloud platforms like AWS
  • Demonstrated experience of strategic thinking and alignment of same with business objectives and delivering outcome through software engineering solutions.
  • Experience in anticipating bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and making trade-offs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints
  • Experience in maintaining constant balance between long term vision along with addressing immediate needs, driving an incremental approach that is metrics and data driven. It will require communicating effectively with leaders across Director and VP levels on a regular basis while ensuring that the teams are aligned, and stakeholders are aware of key performance indicators.
