Director of Engineering
Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated "Director of Engineering" with a background in fintech or e-commerce to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and scaling large-scale financial/e-Commerce systems, possess strong technical skills, and be passionate about driving a robust engineering culture within the organization.

 Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the engineering team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the team's success. Drive the development and implementation of scalable, high-performance financial systems that meet the company's requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and operations to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions. Establish and promote engineering best practices, processes, and standards to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability across all engineering initiatives. Foster a strong engineering culture focused on continuous learning and innovation. Actively participate in hands-on technical contributions, providing technical leadership and guidance to the team as needed. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive strategic decisions and improvements within the engineering organization.

Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on fintech, including 5+ years in a leadership or management role. Proven track record of successfully building and scaling large-scale financial systems or fintech platforms. Strong technical background with expertise in modern programming languages, frameworks, and technologies. Hands-on experience with system design, architecture, and implementation, with the ability to make strategic technical decisions. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Experience driving a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Good understanding of different cloud hosting offerings - GCP/AWS is required. 

Additional Requirements:

Experience in the fintech or e-commerce industry is highly preferred. Prior experience working in a start-up or fast-paced environment is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment, with a passion for driving impact and delivering results.
