Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership: Lead and oversee the kitchen brigade, ensuring the preparation and presentation of exceptional dishes that embody the unique flavours of Goa while upholding the high standards of The Cape Goa.
Menu Development: Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to craft and innovate menus that reflect both local and international culinary trends, bringing fresh ideas and creativity to the table.
Team Management: Inspire and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Take charge of training and developing the culinary team to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and food safety, ensuring that every dish meets or exceeds guest expectations. Manage inventory, control costs, and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless kitchen operations and contribute to a cohesive and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-end resort or restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
