Responsibilities:

  • Actively seeking hunters within the sales team who possess the skills and drive to acquire new NBFC/MFI partners, fostering a proactive approach to expanding the organization's partner network.
  • Develop and execute robust sales strategies tailored to the Bancassurance segment, with a specific focus on identifying and pursuing new acquisitions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities for expansion and acquisitions within the Bancassurance sector, actively participating in strategic decision-making processes.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), and other key stakeholders, with a keen eye towards potential acquisition targets.
  • Provide exemplary leadership and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development with a focus on acquisition hunting.
  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives to actively hunt for prospective acquisition targets, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and a robust acquisition strategy.
  • Monitor and analyze sales activities, with a particular focus on tracking performance metrics related to acquisition efforts, and reporting insights to senior management.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure seamless coordination and implementation of acquisition initiatives, leveraging cross-functional expertise.
  • Swiftly address customer complaints and service issues related to acquisition efforts, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction throughout the acquisition process.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities, specifically focusing on acquisition opportunities, and leverage insights to refine acquisition strategies and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Drive innovation in acquisition techniques and strategies to enhance market competitiveness and accelerate growth through acquisitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • More than a decade of proven experience in Bancassurance sales, with a strong focus on MFIs and NBFCs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leadership and coaching, driving team performance and professional development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building rapport with both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Possess an analytical mindset, adept at problem-solving and strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively multitasking and managing priorities.
  • Dedication to a customer-centric approach, consistently delivering exceptional service.
  • Collaborative mindset with prior experience in managing sales teams and nurturing fruitful relationships with leads.
  • Familiarity with insurance products, particularly within healthcare services, is highly advantageous.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Identify and Cultivate new Partnerships and Opportunities
  • Establish strategic alliances with potential partners, including Banks and other large entities.
  • Evaluate partners' business scope and negotiate terms and conditions accordingly.
  • Proactively pursue Requests for Proposals (RFPs)/Bids from Banks, ensuring timely submissions, and represent the company comprehensively.
  • Target new entities such as Banks, Payment Banks, Small Finance Banks, Co-operative Banks, Fintech, and Digital players.
  • Monitor market intelligence and competitor tie-ups, as well as new product launches.
  • Prepare comprehensive business propositions, including presentations, for internal stakeholder review.
  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador, articulating the Unique Selling Points (USPs), Brand identity, and overall benefits to secure mutually beneficial deals.
