Desktop Support Engineer

Reports To: Operation Head / IT Manager

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Vadodara. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in desktop support and IT infrastructure management. This role involves managing IT assets, handling local networking, performing regular asset maintenance, and providing timely problem resolution for end-users.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Asset Management:
  • Maintain an updated inventory of all IT hardware and software assets
  • Ensure proper tagging, tracking, and auditing of IT equipment
  • Handle IT procurement and coordinate with vendors as required
  • Desktop & User Support:
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications
  • Respond to user queries and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Network Support:
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity
  • Support Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and basic firewall configurations
  • Coordinate with the network team for escalated issues
  • Asset Maintenance:
  • Perform regular maintenance and health checks of all IT systems
  • Ensure timely upgrades, antivirus updates, and system backups
  • Manage AMC and warranty tracking for IT equipment
  • Problem Solving & Documentation:
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest permanent solutions
  • Maintain detailed documentation of support requests, fixes, and procedures
  • Provide training and guidance to users when needed


Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in desktop support or IT administration
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, basic networking, and IT hardware
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
