Job Description: Business Development Executive

Reports to: Director / Manager

Salary range will be 30-50k

Location : Goregaon East

We require BD candidates who are from Media House or already sell Media, Times of India / Publication House

Key Responsibilities: Media Relations & Engagement

Responsibilities and Duties

Ø Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets

Ø Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization

Ø Generate leads and cold call prospective customers

Ø Meeting/ Talking to the clients, understanding their needs and offer them a custom tailor-made media resolution.

Ø Develop relationships with customers/clients

Ø Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these

Ø Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business

Ø Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes

Ø Draw up client contracts - depending on the size of the company, this task may be completed by someone else or agreements may not be as formal

Ø Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them

Ø Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them

Ø Negotiate pricing with customers

Ø Creating actionable business strategies

Ø Nurturing relationships with clients

Ø Analysing market trends

Ø Tracking business performance

Ø Allocating and managing the company’s resources

Ø Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate

Ø Develop the business


Qualifications and Skills

o Masters’s in Mass Communication ,or MBA in Marketing .

o Five years proven track record in Media Field

o Ability to work and deliver under tight deadline

o Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets

o Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients

o Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills

o Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work

o Decision-making skills

o The ability to multitask and priorities your workload

o Project management and organizational skills

o Negotiating skills

o Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.

o Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting

o Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

o Prior experience and/ or willingness to work in an ambitious, start-up office environment will be beneficial

o Enthusiastic, professional, creative with fresh ideas and self-driven individual who is also a good team player



Other Details:

• Working days/ timings - Mon-Friday (10:00-7:00) & Alternate Saturdays

• Work from the Office.

• Experience required –2 years
