One of our portfolio companies, Hillpad, is on a mission to make global education universally accessible by offering online courses and programs from top universities.


Hillpad is seeking an experienced and driven Head of Operations to oversee daily operations, ensure seamless execution of programs, and work with senior leadership to drive growth. The ideal candidate will manage the operational functions of the business and help scale Hillpad's impact globally.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage day-to-day operations to ensure smooth execution of online courses and programs.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with senior management to develop and implement strategies that drive efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and scale the business.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and manage a high-performing team across various functions, including customer service, partnerships, and platform management.
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in operational processes and implement solutions to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
  • Partnership Management: Collaborate with university partners to ensure successful delivery of their programs on the Hillpad platform.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Use data and KPIs to monitor performance, improve operations, and report key insights to stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operations adhere to relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Budget Management: Oversee operational budgeting, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.


Requirements:


  • Proven Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the online education or tech industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a growing team.
  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
