Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead and manage our rapidly expanding team of medical annotators in India. This role is pivotal in driving the operational strategy, ensuring efficiency in production, and maintaining seamless communication between our teams in India and the US. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with a focus on process development and team leadership, and will play a crucial role in the growth and success of our AI-driven medical injury tool.


Key Responsibilities:


Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a growing team of medical annotators, with the potential to scale up to 100+ full-time employees (FTEs).
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.


Operational Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize the efficiency and productivity of the annotation team.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational processes and team performance.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of daily tasks, including case production and end-to-end process supervision.


Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes to meet the evolving needs of the AI tool development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in India and the US to align operational strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.


Client Communication & Reporting:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication regarding project progress, deliverables, and any potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting tools to track team performance, project milestones, and other key metrics.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for operational improvements.


Coordination with Global Teams:

  • Work closely with teams in both India and the US to ensure alignment of goals, processes, and timelines.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration across different time zones and cultural contexts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of leading and scaling teams.
  • Strong understanding of medical chart reading and familiarity with the healthcare industry, particularly in the context of AI and data annotation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency and growth.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders across different geographies.
  • Proficiency in developing reporting tools and utilizing data to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
