Job Summary:

As the Senior Manager of Engineering, you will lead and manage the engineering department and oversee all project management activities. This role involves strategic planning, coordinating engineering activities, managing project teams, ensuring timely project delivery, and maintaining the highest quality standards.


As a Senior Manager, you will work closely with the Higher Management Team to align engineering goals with the overall business strategy.


Role: Senior Manager - Engineering

Education: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. MBA is preferred.

Experience: 12+ Years

Location: Ghaziabad, UP


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for engineering and project teams that align with the organisation’s overall objective
  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance productivity and quality
  • Lead the development of long-term engineering and project roadmaps, including resource allocation, technology investment, and infrastructure development
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, timelines, and budget
  • Monitor and manage project risks, resolving issues as they arise to keep the project on track
  • Ensure effective communication between all project stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment and services required for engineering projects
  • Ensure all engineering activities and projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Promote the culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all engineering project team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are being timely met
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, incorporating best practices into the organization’s engineering and project management processes


Requirements:

  • Bachelors/master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • With 12+ years of experience in engineering role and a minimum 5+ years’ experience in project handling role
  • Proven record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects from inception to completion
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decision
  • Strong attention to details
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies
