Major Incident Manager

  1. Incident Identification and Classification: Quickly identify and classify major incidents to ensure appropriate prioritization and response.
  2. Coordination and Communication: Act as the central point of contact during major incidents, coordinating efforts across various technical teams and stakeholders. Provide regular updates to senior management and affected users.
  3. Technical Leadership: Lead technical resolution efforts, often involving multiple technical resolution groups. Ensure that all necessary resources are mobilized to resolve the incident.
  4. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct post-incident reviews to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed incident records and produce comprehensive incident reports. Ensure all actions taken during the incident are documented.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the incident management process.
  7. Service Continuity: Work closely with the Service Continuity Manager to ensure that disaster recovery plans are in place and can be effectively executed if needed
