Job Overview:


The Deal Desk Manager will oversee the deal desk function within the organization, playing a critical role in supporting the sales team by structuring deals, optimizing pricing strategies, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities to drive revenue growth and enhance the efficiency of the sales process.


Key Responsibilities:


Deal Structuring:


Lead the deal desk team in reviewing and structuring complex sales deals, ensuring alignment with pricing guidelines and profitability targets.

Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and tailor deals to meet their needs.

Pricing Strategy:


Develop and maintain pricing models that reflect market conditions and company objectives.

Provide recommendations for pricing adjustments based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.

Contract Management:


Oversee the contract review process, ensuring that all agreements are compliant with legal and financial standards.

Work with the legal team to resolve any contractual issues and ensure timely processing of agreements.

Process Improvement:


Identify inefficiencies in the deal desk process and implement solutions to streamline operations.

Develop and maintain best practices for deal management and documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:


Liaise with finance, legal, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on deal strategy and execution.

Act as a point of contact for sales teams regarding deal-related inquiries and support.

Data Analysis and Reporting:


Analyze deal performance data to provide insights on sales trends, pricing effectiveness, and competitive positioning.

Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on deal desk performance and key metrics.

Team Leadership:


Manage and mentor the deal desk team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.

5+ years of experience in sales operations, deal desk management, or related roles.

Proven track record in pricing strategy and contract negotiation.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and contract management tools.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
