Our client is a pioneering NPA resolution platform in India, backed by credible investors including Accel Partners and Titan Capital. They collaborate with financial institutions, banks, NBFCs, and digital lending firms to enhance the efficiency of their collections through technology, automation intelligence, and optimal legal routes, facilitating the resolution of stressed assets.

Overview

Our client is seeking an accomplished Director/Senior Director of Product and Design to lead their ambitious product and design team. This pivotal role demands a unique blend of leadership, hands-on engagement, entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep commitment to crafting exceptional product experiences. The successful candidate will oversee the comprehensive product management, design, and product analytics functions, driving innovation and excellence across their SaaS platform. Fintech experience is highly valued, though not strictly mandatory for an exceptional candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Develop and execute the product strategy aligned with the company's vision and business goals.
  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.

Product Development

  • Lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to drive product initiatives.
  • Implement agile methodologies to streamline development processes and ensure timely releases.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and partners, to align product vision and strategy.
  • Present product updates, roadmaps, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance product capabilities.

Team Management

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers, UI/UX designers, and product analytics specialists.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond, ensuring products meet market needs and deliver value to users.
  • Prioritize product roadmaps and manage resource allocation effectively.

Performance Tracking and Reporting

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on product performance and future plans.

User-Centered Design

  • Champion a design-thinking culture that prioritizes user experience and usability in product development.
  • Ensure design principles are integrated into product strategy and execution.
  • Oversee the entire design lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.
  • Ensure design solutions meet market demands, user needs, and business objectives.
  • Drive design innovation and manage the design roadmap.

Analytics and Insight

  • Leverage product analytics to inform decision-making and improve product performance.
  • Establish metrics to measure success and guide continuous improvement.

Market and Competitive Analysis

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the market, customers, and competitors.
  • Use insights to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced-degree preferred).
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in product management and design, with a significant portion in a leadership role. Proven track record of delivering successful products in a SaaS environment. Fintech experience is a strong advantage.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team-building skills. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive, entrepreneurial approach with a willingness to roll up sleeves and dive deep into product and design challenges.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset with the ability to plan and execute on long-term vision while managing day-to-day operations.
  • Collaboration: Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working alongside engineering, marketing, and sales teams to achieve business goals.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies effectively to various audiences.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in product management and design tools such as Jira, Confluence, Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficient in using analytics and data-driven decision-making processes to shape product strategies and improvements.
