Job DescriptionAs aSecurity Engineer you will play a crucial role in safeguarding ourorganization s computer networks and systems. You will beresponsible for designing implementing and maintaining securitymeasures to protect sensitive data and systems from cyber threats.Your expertise will contribute to the overall security posture ofthe organization ensuring compliance with regulatory standards andbest practices incybersecurity.
Security System Management:o Designimplement and manage security measures and infrastructure includingfirewalls antivirus systems and intrusion detection/preventionsystems.o Regularly update and patchsecurity systems to protect against knownvulnerabilities.
Threat Analysis and Response:o Monitornetwork traffic for unusual activity and potentialthreats.o Respond to security incidents andbreaches conduct thorough investigations and implement correctivemeasures.o Develop and maintain an incidentresponseplan.
RiskAssessment and Mitigation:o Conduct regularsecurity assessments and audits to identifyvulnerabilities.o Develop strategies tohandle security risks and implement mitigationplans.
Compliance and Standards:o Ensure that theorganization s security policies and practices comply withregulatory standards such as ISO 27001 GDPR orHIPAA.o Stay updated on the latestregulations and compliancerequirements.
Collaboration and Training:o Work with otherIT team members to ensure secure software development and networkarchitecture.o Educate and train staff oncybersecurity best practices andawareness.
Jobrequirements RequiredQualifications:o Bachelor s degree inComputer Science Information Security or a relatedfield.o Proven experience as a SecurityEngineer or in a similar role.o Strongunderstanding of network infrastructure and networksecurity.o Knowledge of various securitymethodologies and processes and technical security solutions(firewall and intrusion detection systems).oFamiliarity with webrelated technologies and network/web relatedprotocols.
Preferred Qualifications:o Industrycertifications such as CISSP CEH CISM orsimilar.o Experience with security systemsand tools such as SIEM vulnerability scanners andDLP.o Knowledge of scripting languages forautomation of securitytasks.
Personal Attributes:o Excellentproblemsolving and analytical skills.oStrong attention to detail and ability to work underpressure.o Effective communication skillsboth written and verbal.o Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.o Keeninterest in staying abreast of technological advancements andcybersecuritytrends.
