JobDescription
Asa network Engineer youll be responsible for designing implementingmaintaining and supporting the communication networks within anorganization or between organizations. This role is crucial forensuring the integrity and high availability of networkinfrastructure to provide maximum performance for users.
The jobtypically involves the followingresponsibilities:
  • NetworkDesign and Implementation : Developing and implementing networkconfigurations designing and deploying network architecturesincluding local area networks (LANs) wide area networks (WANs)intranet andextranet.

  • Troubleshootingand Optimization : Analyzing troubleshooting and resolving networkissues. Continuously monitoring network performance identifyingbottlenecks and implementing enhancements to improve reliabilityandspeed.

  • SecurityManagement: Implementing and managing network security solutions.Ensuring network infrastructure is compliant with industrystandards and protecting against unauthorized access or cyberthreats.

  • Collaborationand Support: Collaborating with IT staff management and externalvendors to ensure network alignment with business goals. Providingtechnical support and guidance to users and teammembers.

  • Hardwareand Software Management: Installing configuring and maintainingnetwork hardware like routers switches firewalls and managingnetworksoftware.

  • Documentationand Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of thenetwork setup configuration changes and standard operatingprocedures. Preparing periodic performance and incidentreports.

  • ProjectManagement: Leading networkrelated projects including budgetingscheduling and coordinating with differentstakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Keepinguptodate with new networking technologies and best practices.Acquiring relevant certifications and attending training andworkshops.

Jobrequirements
  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Technology or relatedfield.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA CCNPJNCIA).
  • Proven experience in network design andimplementation.
  • Strong understanding ofnetworking protocols (e.g. IPSEC HSRP BGP OSPF802.11).
  • Experience with network diagnosticmonitoring and analysis tools.
  • Solidunderstanding of network securityprinciples.
  • Excellent problemsolvingskills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonalskills.
