YourRelationships: The Lead Network Security Engineer isrequired to effectively build and maintain relationshipswith:
  • Senior managers (EM andGM)
  • Solution Architects Design SpecialistsBusiness Analysts and Solution Delivery Managers in a projectcontext
  • Global Technology Services ServiceOwners and Service Managers
  • Third party vendorsthat provide technology services for thegroup.
You will be reportingdirectly to an Engineering Manager as part of the Global TechnologyServices business unit. Your wider team consists of multiple squadsin the Engineering disciplines of Network Security PartnerConnectivity Workload Connectivity Software Defined Network CloudNetworking Network Automation and WorkforceConnectivity.CORERESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the development of theroadmap strategy and design for the products and services withinyour squad
  • Provide engineering leadership forother engineers and team members
  • Contribute tothe strategy roadmap and architecture across all Networkservices
  • Identify and remediate risks andissues within your portfolio of Networkservices
  • Execute and support the GlobalTechnology Services business unit with design engineering andimplementation of network security to provide business value acrossmultiple programmes and initiatives.
  • Identifyand mitigate issues or risks associated with the network securitydesign or solution proposals
  • Provide technicalconsulting and advice to projects to ensure alignment to CyberSecurity Network Architecture and operational stability of CBA snetwork assets.
  • Champion engineering principlespatterns standards and guidelines across projects andprogrammes
  • Support transitioning targetarchitecture from current to desiredstate
  • Provide feedback on effectiveness oftarget solution architecture
  • Work within a teamenvironment and across business units to complete associatedtasks
  • Identify and develop plans for emergingTechnology that may benefit the Group s strategicdirection
  • Manage and evaluate overall networkperformance reliability and scalability; troubleshooting andresolving network and security problems.

  • Undertake any other tasks assigned byyour manager that you have the capability to perform safely in linewith relevant internal Bank policies and external regulatoryrequirements.
Rolespecificresponsibilities:LeadNetworkEngineering
  • Manageescalation of complex technical issues from suppliers operationsand application teams
  • Author and maintaindetailed network security design documents ensuring accuracy andrepresentation of firewall configuration and deployment of securitypolicy.
  • Supporting and implementation ofchanges outside of regular businesshours
  • Author complex implementation plans andconfiguration of network security changes into CBA s networkservices and devices
  • Mandatory knowledge anddemonstrated experience of Cisco Switches (Nexus and IOS) Routersand Firewalls.
  • Desirable experience in F5 GTMLTM and DNS VMWare NSX and Azure/AWS network security groupenforcement policies and firewallmanagement.
  • Discovery and validation of networkconnectivity requirements using enterprise tools such as AlgosecvRealise Network Insight Splunk Azure VSTS and AWS VPC flow logsR53 Cloud redirect and Cloudfront SolarWinds Qualys andInfoblox.
  • Contribute to the documenting ofcurrent infrastructure services.
  • Demonstratedunderstanding and design of core switching and routing technologiessuch as VXLAN VPN BGP and OSPF.
  • Mentoring ofEngineers across multipletechnologies
  • Flexibility in working hours toaccommodate after hourchanges
ApplicationIntegration andInfrastructure
  • Work withproject teams to understand network connectivity between VMwareWindows and Linux endpoints.
  • Integrating topublic cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure and hybrid cloudnetwork integration.
  • Ensure all services withinthe IT service portfolio are managed with consideration to networkcapacity platform sociability/scalability factors and targetarchitecture
YourExperience:Essential:
  • Experiencewith technology in a large organization
  • Minimum of 10 years experiences within ITNetwork
  • Minimum 6 years of design orarchitecture experience
