We are seeking a highly skilled andexperienced Principal Network Engineer specializing in internetrouting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert indesigning implementing managing and troubleshooting largescalecomplex network infrastructures with a deep understanding of IProuting protocols such as BGP OSPF MPLS andothers.
Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 8 years in network engineering with a strongfocus on internet routing. InternetArchitecture Knowledge: Solid understanding of internetarchitecture including internet exchange points (IXPs) and transitnetworks. Network Redundancy and DisasterRecovery: Familiarity with network redundancy failover mechanismsand disaster recovery practices specific to internetrouting. Network Security: Experience withnetwork security practices in internet routing including DDoSmitigation IP filtering and secure routingprotocols Independence and Communication:Capable of working with minimal guidance on complex tasks andexcellent communication skills for effective interaction withleadership peers project managers clients andstakeholders. Flexible Working Schedule:Ability to work flexible hours including afterhours changes andparticipating in an oncallrotation.

PrimaryResponsibilities: Designing and ImplementingNetwork Infrastructure: Developing and implementing thearchitecture for internet routing within an organization. Thisincludes designing the layout of routers switches and othernetworking equipment to ensure efficient and secure dataflow. Network Optimization and Scaling:Continuously analyzing network performance and making adjustmentsto optimize efficiency and reliability. This involves scaling thenetwork to handle increased traffic and implementing newtechnologies as needed. Routing ProtocolManagement: Configuring and managing routing protocols like BGPOSPF or MPLS. This includes setting up routing policies routeredistribution and ensuring that network routes are efficient andsecure. Technical Documentation and NetworkDiagrams: Responsible for authoring comprehensive technicaldocumentation including detailed network diagrams systemconfigurations and procedural guides. This involves effectivelycommunicating complex network designs and configurations to bothtechnical and nontechnical stakeholders ensuring clarity andaccuracy for future reference and teamcollaboration. Troubleshooting and ProblemResolution: Identifying and resolving complex network issuesincluding those related to internet routing. This requires indepthknowledge of network diagnostics and advanced troubleshootingtechniques. Disaster Recovery and RedundancyPlanning: Developing and implementing strategies for networkredundancy and disaster recovery to ensure network uptime andreliability even in the event of hardware failures or otherdisruptions. Mentorship and Team Leadership:Leading and mentoring junior network engineers and other technicalstaff providing guidance and support in their professionaldevelopment. Staying Informed ofTechnological Advances: Keeping uptodate with the latestdevelopments in network technology and internet routing. Thisincludes understanding emerging technologies and how they might beleveraged to improve network performance andsecurity.
PreferredQualifications: Active CCNP or highercertification Skilled in Python programmingwith network automation experienceFamiliarity with using Git as well as source code management andcollaboration software such as GitHubProficiency in working with Cisco routers/switches and Aristaequipment Strong leadership and projectmanagement skills including the ability to manage multiplepriorities and projects
