Greetings from Randstad Hiring Lead Legal Counsel Indiafor Bangalore / Hyderabad location .

  • Deliver an excellent and efficient legal serviceto the Group primarily advising under Indian law with some adviceunder English law as required including via BAU advice legal inputto strategic projects effective management of legal risk andeffective budget management;

  • Provide effective legal advice to theGroup on a broad range of legal practice areas includingcontracts/outsourcing/IT real estate financial services regulatory(mortgages and savings) employment litigationfinance;

  • Support the Group General Counsel and CompanySecretary (GC) to deliver Board and Executive strategic objectivesfor the Legal team (and to an extent the Environment Social andGovernance (ESG) and Company Secretariat (CoSec) teams as required)and other strategic projects as required;

  • Provide the Legal CoSecand ESG Senior Leadership Team GC ExCo Board and associatedCommittees with effective MI reporting and effective upwardcommunication;

  • Scope and deliver key Legal team strategicprojects and efficiencies with the overall objective of increasingLegal team productivity and value aligned with the Groups UK legaloperations (e.g. integration practice management worktype reviewand outsourcing/insourcing mix);

  • Report effectively to and attendvarious Group Committees and Board as required;

  • Ensure regular Legal and functional team meetingsare run with a focus on knowledgesharing practical actions arisingand team development;

  • Manage Indian Legal budget and headcounteffectively including via effective external Panel selection andmanagement recruitment (where necessary and approved) and overflowsupport;

  • Ensure that you and your team fully understandand comply with the organisations Risk Management Policies as theyrelate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your dayto day work that you put customers at the heart of everything youdo.

  • Ensure that you and your functional team fullyunderstand and comply with the organisations Data GovernancePolicies as they relate to your area of responsibility anddemonstrate in your day to day work that you treat data as animportant corporate asset which must be protected andmanaged.
