JobSummary:
TheCommis 2 plays a vital role in supporting the culinary team byassisting in food preparation cooking and maintaining highqualitystandards in the kitchen. This position requires dedication awillingness to learn and the ability to work efficiently in adynamic kitchenenvironment.
Responsibilities:
  1. FoodPreparation: Assist in preparing ingredients includingcleaning chopping and portioning according to established recipesand guidelines.
  2. CookingAssistance: Support senior chefs in cooking andassembling dishes while adhering to proper cooking techniques andsafety standards.
  3. QualityControl: Ensure that all prepared and cooked foodsmeet the standards of quality taste and presentation before beingserved.
  4. KitchenOrganization: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness inworkstations equipment and storage areas following sanitation andhygiene procedures.
  5. InventoryManagement: Assist in monitoring and maintaining stocklevels informing supervisors of shortages and participating ininventory counts asrequired.
  6. Adaptability andLearning: Be open to learning new culinary skillstechniques and recipes while following instructions from seniorchefs.
  7. Assistance in MenuDevelopment: Collaborate with the culinary team increating and refining menu items andspecials.
  8. TeamCollaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staffcommunicate effectively and support colleagues to ensure smoothkitchen operations.
  9. Compliance andSafety: Adhere strictly to food safety standardsregulations and kitchen protocols to maintain a safe and hygienicworking environment.
  10. Assist inOther Kitchen Tasks: Support the kitchen in varioustasks as assigned by supervisors to facilitate efficientoperations.

Requirements:
  1. Previousexperience (X years) in a culinary environment preferably in asimilar role.
  2. Basic culinary training orrelevant certifications is a plus.
  3. Knowledge offood safety standards and kitchen hygienepractices.
  4. Ability to follow instructions workunder pressure and adapt to changingpriorities.
  5. Strong teamwork skills and theability to communicate effectively with kitchenstaff.
  6. Physical endurance to stand for extendedperiods and perform repetitive tasks.
  7. Passionfor food a desire to learn and a positive attitude in the kitchenenvironment.
  8. Flexibility in working hoursincluding evenings weekends andholidays.
