**Title: Commi 1 Chef (Indian Cuisine)**

**1. Food Preparation and Cooking**:

- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist senior chefs in various cooking techniques, including but not limited to grilling, frying, roasting, and baking.

**2. Ingredient Preparation**:

- Properly handle, chop, slice, and portion ingredients required for Indian recipes.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and utilized efficiently to minimize waste.

**3. Menu Development**:

- Collaborate with senior chefs to develop new menu items and specials based on Indian culinary traditions and seasonal ingredients.
- Offer creative input and suggestions for enhancing existing dishes.

**4. Kitchen Hygiene and Safety**:

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.

**5. Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth operation during service times.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and follow instructions from senior chefs.

**6. Quality Control**:

- Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's standards before being served to customers.
- Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and proactively.

**7. Inventory Management**:

- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels for ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Notify senior chefs of any shortages or discrepancies in a timely manner.

**8. Training and Development**:

- Continuously strive to improve culinary skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and self-study.
- Mentor junior kitchen staff members and provide guidance as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably specializing in Indian cuisine.
- Familiarity with traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Culinary education or certification is a plus but not required.
