The Workday technical analyst will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing integrations, reports and dashboards within the Workday system. This role will support various departments by providing accurate, timely, and insightful data that informs decision-making and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business needs into effective Workday reports.

Report Creation and Management:

Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and data extracts in Workday. Ensure accuracy and reliability of all reports and data outputs. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements. Identify areas where HRIS systems can be leveraged, extended, processes can be changed/automated or existing solutions can be enhanced

Integration Creation and Management

Serve as the subject matter expert on large collections of Workday integrations Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment life cycle Work with business stakeholders to determine problem areas and overall impact of projects Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders. Develop plans to more forward the overall Workday strategy for Meta Partner with business leaders and People Engineering teams to align on objectives and programs Help manage the timelines and deliverables within large, multi-month projects Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners Drive an overall data strategy for people-related data and Workday's place in it

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

Analyse data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business objectives. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to help drive strategic decisions. Present data findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.

System Optimization:

Continuously review and improve reporting processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay up to date with Workday releases and enhancements to leverage new reporting capabilities. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment of integration and reporting activities with organizational goals. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise and insights. Communicate effectively with team members and leadership, providing updates on reporting activities and outcomes.

Role Essentials

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years of experience working in Workday At least one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience 8+ years of experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, BIRT reporting, EIB, and Core Connectors Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards) Strong technical experience with XML and Java 8+ years of experience in Workday reporting tools, including Report Writer, Worksheets, Calculated Fields, and dashboards. 8+ years' experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields 8+ years' experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors Strong understanding of Workday security configuration, policies, and best practices. Experience with security auditing, monitoring, and incident response. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Excel and other data analysis tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of AI and emerging technologies. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
