At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living This role will be working closely with Director Strategic Operations, EM to support short- and medium-term performance strategies for the AWM & SPM franchise in EM.
What will you be doing?
Key activities for this role include (but not limited to) driving market insights for long term strategic planning process, leading strategic projects related to profitability and productivity improvements, GTM strategies, and acceleration plans.
The role includes:
Support the strategic and business planning processes
Develop franchise specific insights and market models for each cluster based on trends and indicators in order to advise on strategies and tactics to maximize opportunities
Track, analyze and communicate critical business KPIs and metrics against strategic plans
Project manage short to medium term growth initiatives from project plan towards implementation and handover to business, Identify & support D&L opportunities and transactions
Drive profitability and productivity improvement, GTM strategies, and digital transformation initiatives
What will you need to be successful?
Min. 5 years experience in management consulting, or strategic planning, or commercial business
Knowledge of the medical device industry, healthcare systems, & the wound business is a big plus
Experience in digital transformation and external partnerships will be highly valued
Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to foster relationships and credibility quickly at all levels of the organization withing the region, EM clusters, and global teams
Comfortable working with EM Leadership Team in a demanding, fast paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and sailing through ambiguity
Experience leading cross functional and multi dimensional teams across geographical boundaries
Excellent problem solving, executive presentation and analytical skills
Proven ability to develop plans as well as lead teams to develop plans akin to management consulting
Hours of working may not be consistent on a daily basis
