JOB DESCRIPTION FORASSISTANT PROFESSORS

Academics

Facilitate student learning through researchled teaching and effective instructions by developing coursecurriculum course handouts lectures labs and presentations as perUGC/Council guidelines. Performanceevaluations of students learning for all assigned classes usingstandard course outlines for each courses as a guide and play asignificant role in reviewing of modules and programs as per thecourse guideline. Develop innovativeapproaches to learning and teaching i.e. through presentationdemonstrations case studies and tutorials.Regular reporting to competent authority about itscompliance.

Administration

They have to Participate in departmental andfaculty meetings in addition to it they have to involve in allacademic and research activities of the department along with anyother responsibility assigned to them.

Examinations

The appropriate multiple assessment tools andstrategies has to be applied to evaluate and promote the continuousintellectual development of the students through assigningreasonable assignments as per university rules.The overall performance of the student be evaluated moreprecisely in fair and timely manner and report it to the concernedauthority within the specified time. Thestudent assessment data should be analyzed for further improvementsand overall development of students.

Internship & IndustrialLiaisoning

Schedule and conduct onsite clinical internshipobservation field experience industrial training as a part ofcourse curriculum shall be guided.

Sports and Extra CurricularActivities

Toensure and encourage the students for their participation in sportsand other activities organized at departmental/faculty/Universitylevel. Further to maintain the record of students participating invarious activities and have achieved various rewards at differentlevel.

MentorMentee Interaction Program

Drive the Mentor Mentee interaction program within thedepartment on a regular basis. Be available tothe students via email phone or personal conferences. The method ofcontact and hours of availability should be communicated to theoffice of the students. Act as a personaltutor for students support them in maximizing the benefit of theirtime in SGT University and motivate them for the building of theircareer.

Alumni

To organize the alumnimeet and collect the dataof alumni students their placement and analyze them indetails. To encourage the students forpromoting the interaction with their senior alumni and make astrong network between them.

Admission

To participate and take an active part in theadmission process and counselling of the students.To ensure that enquiries from applicants and prospectiveapplicants are dealt with in a timely and informative manner andmaintain their records.

Research & PartnershipActivities

  • Toencourage and develop the innovative research activity in the UG& PG courses.
  • Motivate the students toparticipate in various extracurricular skilled programs conferencesand workshops.
  • To reach out to Industry andgovernment / non government institutions to fosterresearch/collaboration partnerships and sign MOUs.
