OverviewThe ForensicMedicine Toxicology Associate/Assistant/Professor plays a crucialrole in a medical college contributing to the education researchand clinical practice of forensic medicine and toxicology. Thisposition is instrumental in shaping the knowledge and skills ofmedical students and residents conducting impactful research andproviding expert guidance in forensiccases.Keyresponsibilities
  • Teach and mentormedical students residents and fellows in forensic medicine andtoxicology.
  • Develop and deliver curriculumcontent including lectures case studies and practicalsessions.

  • Conductand publish original research in forensic medicine andtoxicology.
  • Provide expert consultation inforensic cases and testify in legal proceedings whenrequired.
  • Participate in professionaldevelopment activities such as conferences andworkshops.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinaryteams to improve patient care andoutcomes.
  • Contribute to the administrative andacademic responsibilities of the department andinstitution.
  • Stay updated with advancements inforensic medicine and toxicology through continuous learning andprofessional engagement.
  • Lead or supportcommunity outreach initiatives to raise awareness about forensicmedicine and toxicology.
Requiredqualifications
  • MD or DO degree froman accredited medical school.
  • Boardcertification in forensic pathology or forensictoxicology.
  • Extensive clinical experience inforensic medicine and toxicology.
  • Demonstratedteaching and mentoring capabilities in an academicsetting.
  • Proven track record of research andscholarly activities in forensic medicine andtoxicology.
  • Familiarity with medicolegalprinciples and courtroom procedures.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills for effective collaborationand expert testimony.
  • Ability to balanceclinical educational and administrative responsibilitieseffectively.
  • Licensure or eligibility formedical licensure in the relevant state orcountry.
  • Commitment to ethical and professionalconduct and adherence to institutionalpolicies.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills to handle diverseresponsibilities.
