Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Lead for our Medical Billing department. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in medical billing, with expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR), credentialing, denial management, and Medicare enrollments. This role requires a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of the medical billing process, and the ability to manage and mentor a team. The Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical billing team, ensuring accurate and timely billing, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of medical billing specialists, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee the AR process, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding claims to maximize collections.
  • Credentialing: Manage the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Denial Management: Analyze and resolve claim denials, develop strategies to reduce denials, and implement best practices for denial management.
  • Training: Provide ongoing training and development for team members, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest industry standards and regulations.
  • Medicare and Enrollments: Oversee Medicare enrollments and ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and other insurance requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve complex billing issues, escalated claims, and client concerns with a focus on providing effective solutions.
  • Client Handling: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, billing metrics, AR status, and other key indicators to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on AR, credentialing, denial management, and Medicare enrollments.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a medical billing team.
  • Strong knowledge of RCM, medical billing regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and other related tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
