Role: Assistant Manager - Faculty Affairs & Development Lead

Job Description:

This role has 2 primary focus areas:

1. Faculty Affairs Management, reporting to Dean Faculty Affairs:

a. Identify, assess, and develop a robust pipeline of qualified faculty candidates, aligned with Plaksha's long-term academic goals. Build and maintain strategic relationships to ensure a continuous flow of academic talent.

b. Cultivate relationships with external academic partners and networks to enhance faculty collaboration and engagement within the Plaksha community.

c. Coordinate interviews, campus visits, and interactions with key stakeholders. Represent Plaksha at academic events to promote its mission and build relationships with leading academic professionals.

d. Organize high-impact research talks, lectures, and academic events, managing all logistics and ensuring alignment with the university's strategic goals.

e. Maintain databases on faculty, prepare reports, and provide strategic insights on faculty recruitment and talent development for senior leadership.

f. Oversee travel, accommodation, and personalized scheduling for faculty candidates and visitors, ensuring a high-quality, seamless experience.

2. University Staff Capability Development, reporting to CHRO:

a. Collaborate with leadership to identify development needs and create programs that foster long-term academic and professional excellence.

b. Design and organize targeted workshops and training sessions aligned with Plaksha's strategic priorities for faculty and staff professional growth. Ensure that training sessions are seamlessly executed.

c. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards on training outcomes, employee engagement, and skill development trends.

Eligibility Criteria for the Role:

- Educational Qualification: Master's degree

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience. Experience in strategy execution, academic administration, would be preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

- Demonstrates a high level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information, ensuring trust and credibility in every interaction.

- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at building relationships with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.

- Highly efficient in managing multiple priorities and coordinating tasks with timely execution.

- Proficient in document and database management, including creating and maintaining accurate records and reports.

- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on avoiding any coordination lapses.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
