Your Role as Technical Lead (Sr. Engineer)

Based on your experience in the application, testing, and installation of software products, assist the Vuforia team in bringing quality software products to market.
 
We are looking for a unique person who will have excellent organizational, communication, analytical, test engineering skills. The mission of the Technical Lead is to help lead Test Automation and use Quality Assurance practices that help deliver world best of breed software to Vuforia customers. With your experience in software application testing, automation execution, you’ll assist the Vuforia team in releasing quality products to our external PTC customers.

You will be a part of a talented team of problem solvers, innovators, and risk takers. You will help Vuforia continue to be a leader in the exploding field of Enterprise Augmented Reality by joining the R&D team as QA Technical Lead. 

Your Day-to-Day ( Roles and Responsibilities)

Work on validating Vuforia Studio and/or other Vuforia deliverables feature to ensure quality and timely release. Collaborate with test leads, and other test engineers, to review test requirements, develop test cases. Update test automation using existing frameworks based on Playwright, Selenium, WebDriver IO, Appium, etc., and maintain test automation for new features. Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, UX, content and security. Establish and improve test automation environment for web application, mobile apps, UX testing. Follows QA and risk analysis testing procedures to ensure all software is defect-free, adheres to departmental standards and meets customer requirements.

Must-Have Skills

1-3 years experience in QA testing medium to large scale web or mobile applications. 2+ years experience in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript/Python, other scripting languages/tools. 1+ year experience developing test automation using frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, WebDriver IO, Appium, etc. Ability to understand test requirements, learn new technologies quickly. Strong written, spoken communication skills, work with minimum guidance. Bachelors or Master degree in a related field of engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to Project Management tools, programming and scripting languages, automated testing tools and source code management tools Understanding object orientated programming language with hands on experience. Comfortable writing automated tests for complex software applications Exposure to Continuous Integration environment (GitLab/GitHub), setting up automation system.
