Your Role and Responsibilities

In the role of QA Lead/Architect, you would be responsible for Designing and development of Test Planning, Validation Strategy, Implementation and Automation Framework for IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio & IBM cloud storage services.

**Responsibilities**:
You will be owning and driving product functionality as SME and represent it in global product team. In the role of QA Lead/Architect, you would be responsible for
- Designing and Planning of QA Validation Strategy, Test Planning, System Verification Test Planning, Test Execution of Software Defined storage product
- Designing and development of Automation Framework and Test Automation for Software Defined storage product
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the IBM Software Defined Storage product.
- Hands-on experience of Design and develop the Automation Test Framework for the IBM Software Defined Storage product.
- Hands-on experience working in a Cloud environment.
- Build and troubleshoot complex storage tests.
- Design, build, test, and deploy effective testing solutions to reduce manual effort in the testing process.
- Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements for test-ability, test cases, and use cases, ensuring suitability for automation.
- Support the test team by recommending tools and processes to automate various test activities, including test management, reporting, test data generation, and defect management.
- Collaborate closely with the global product team, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of automated testing processes.
- Provide support and guidance to the test team in implementing automation effectively.
- Evaluate the functional and non-functional requirements to assess test-ability, develop test cases, and design use cases suitable for automation.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the Automation Test Framework to adapt to evolving requirements and technologies.
- Provide leadership within the QA team, guiding and mentoring team members to achieve testing goals.

You will work with the senior technical leaders and manager in effectively managing the deliverables through his technical skills and prior experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 8 - 18 years of industry experience in Designing and developing of Cloud Automation and Test Automation Frameworks
- Proven experience of leading QA teams, creating Test validation strategy, Test Planning in Storage domain.
- Proven knowledge of Automation development process & tools for product development/debugging using Python,API and UI automation.
- Knowledge on automation tools such PYtest Framework (Python) will be an advantage.
- Proven knowledge on functional and system QA validation of Storage technology.
- Experience on Test planning, Test execution and Test process.
- Hands-on experience working in a cloud environment.
- Experience with Containers
- Experience with designing and validating container solutions with Kubernetes, Docker, or Openshift
- Advance knowledge of and experience with RHEL OS, system configuration, and administration.
- Adept at problem solving and debugging complex code stacks
- Good communication skills and ability to work autonomous Experience in network optimization and debug container-based environment,

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience working with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience in GitHub Pull Request development workflow.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (IBM, AWS, Google, Azure)
- Experience with Agile Software Development Experience
- Familiarity with storage concept.
