Contract type: Permanent/Full Time

Salary: Lakh per annum (INR) Based on the experience

We have an exciting opportunity for a Port Manager in our Operations team. You will be responsible for Supervising and monitoring Regional Operations and documentation activities on a day-to-day basis and ensuring all processes are carried out in a timely and professional manner based on the Company’s objective. Ensuring delivery of Client KPIs/Sales targets including day-to-day service levels, customer experience, quality measures, and compliance measures. 


What you’ll do:
• Responsible for the P&L of the location office. As head of a location, responsible for working with the Region manager and commercial managers to develop and sustain business so as to achieve the annual budget for the location. Support Assist in identifying new customers/business leads leading to an increase the revenue for a business.
• Formulate guidelines to implement the right shipping practices & procedures and manage the team. Ensure adherence to the principal’s procedure/SOP. No errors can result in additional costs to the company. Applying promptly corrective actions to the service failures and ensuring that they do not reoccur in the future.
• Attending customs issues, show cause notices, personal hearings, etc on behalf of a principal. Evaluate information /results and choose the best solution to solve problems. Keeping abreast of all operational matters with clients and providing updates to the reporting Manager.
• Monitoring, updating, and evaluating the accuracy and timely updates and application of the system to meet the principals’ requirements and KPI within company-set parameters.
• Co-ordinate with the Liner Ops and Docs executives to ensure a consistent, effective, and professional delivery of services are taking place and consistent with customer instruction and prescribed corporate guidelines.
• Identify, understand, and meet customer needs by demonstrating a high level of commitment and applying maximum efforts to achieve results to the highest quality standards thus maintaining and exceeding customer satisfaction.
• Ensure strict compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures by ISS Quality Management System and ISS Health and Safety Environment policies and procedures to deliver the highest quality services to the customers.
• Weekly/Monthly preparation and submission of Operational Liner report to provide updates of performance
and any irregularities and to ensure monthly submission of other operation, commercial, and quality
assurance reports. Set objectives are attached.


Who you are:


• Hands-on with at least - years of experience in Port operations, Experience of handling container line/service, Liner Agency
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (both written and oral in English and local language). good customer service awareness, with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders and build good engagement levels.
• Good Time Management with Decision-Making ability including multitasking, prioritizing, and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Sound PC knowledge including MS Office Suite and proficiency on English language. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and is available for operations as and when required.
