Location: FullyRemote Anywhere in the USA

Duration: 12 months (PotentialExtension)

Shift Timing: 8 AMto 5 PM

Responsibilities:

  • As the Procurement Category Manager you will beresponsible for leading procurement activities in your managedcategories.
  • Stakeholders and suppliers basedin the US and potentially international.
  • Youwill possess a strong procurement background having previouslycovered category management and worked with complex contractnegotiation

EssentialFunctions:

  • Supportprocurement activities in assigned categories including assessmentsand recommendations for new suppliers.
  • Collaborate with business partners on contractnegotiation strategy and lead negotiations with vendors.
  • Drive saving initiatives track performance and ensuresavings are realized.
  • Lead procurement effortsfrom strategy development to supplier selection and contractmanagement.
  • Conduct spendanalyticsbenchmarking and stakeholder meetings.
  • Developstrategies to control spending reduce risk and improve overallvalue.
  • Track project progress and ensuretimely reporting of savings.
  • Participate inbusiness reviews and identify continuous improvementopportunities.

Interactions:

  • Interact with internal customers at all levels of theorganization including executives.
  • Engage withsuppliers for contract review negotiations andexecution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or related work experience within asimilar role.
  • 8 years of Procurementexperience ideally with 4 years of experience in assignedcategories.
  • Desirablecertifications: ISM CPSM.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Extensive experience with supplier management contractnegotiations strategy development and spend analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentationskills suitable for executive level management.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability tocollaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams andsuppliers.
  • Experience in healthcare or otherregulated environments and following quality management systemprocedures.
  • Global business experienceincluding working across multiple time zones andcultures.
  • Strong project management andorganizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze dataand identify savings opportunities vendor consolidation andcontract performance.
  • Flexibility to adapt tochanges and make quick thoughtful decisions in a fastpacedenvironment.

WorkEnvironment:

  • Normal officeenvironment with moderate to heavy phone usage and long periods ofsitting.
  • Flexible work hours required to meetproject deadlines.
  • Some travel (up to 10%) maybe required depending on assigned projects.

Physical Demands:

  • No strenuous physical activity.
  • General office environment.
  • Sometravel may be required.
