Key Account Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to increase sales of automotive cables to
OEMs, Tier 1, and Tier 2 suppliers. - Identify and target new business opportunities, while nurturing existing client
relationships. - Conduct regular visits to OEMs and suppliers to maintain and grow key
accounts. - Act as the primary point of contact for all sales-related activities for assigned
accounts.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at OEMs
and suppliers. - Understand the customer & business needs and provide tailored solutions based
on product offerings. - Address any concerns or issues raised by clients and work towards resolution.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular updates on account progress.
- Track and report on sales performance against targets and KPIs.
- Prepare detailed reports on customer feedback, market trends, and competitive
landscape.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, logistics)
to ensure customer requirements are met. - Collaborate with internal teams to manage product development, pricing
strategies, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to
identify new opportunities. - Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings
to strengthen the brand presence.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key clients.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining profitability.
RequirementsQualifications & Skills:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) or
B.Sc. MBA (preferred)
- Minimum 15 years of experience in sales, account management, or
business development, specifically in the automotive industry. - Proven experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers in the
automotive sector.
- Experience in the automotive OEM sector, cable industry, auto components,
tires, lubricants, or battery industry.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective interaction
with clients, colleagues, and senior management. - Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
- Good understanding of automotive cable requirements and applications.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal
supervision. - Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve issues
quickly.
- Willingness to travel across India as required to meet customers and prospects.
- Strong networking abilities and a high level of professionalism.
