Job description
Position: Assistant Manager - Vendor Compliance & Sustainability
Position Type: Full-time / Permanent
Experience: up to 10 years of relevant experience in Textile / Supply Chain / Apparel / Trading
Location: Tirupur/Bangalore
Skills: Social & environmental compliance, Factory Remediation, ESG Strategies, ISO Certified, Factory Audit & compliance, CAP support
Roles and Responsibilities
•Conduct regular social and environmental compliance audits of suppliers and factories to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as international standards, and provide technical guidance and CAP support.
•Communicate to the customer’s compliance team on factory compliance matters.
•Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs related to social and environmental compliance to ensure effective implementation and adherence across the organization.
•Document verification of the factory and also should be an expert in cross-checking workers' info (salary disbursement bank SMS etc.)
•Monitor supplier and factory compliance records and investigate any incidents of non-compliance to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, and production to ensure social and environmental compliance considerations are integrated into all aspects of the business.
•Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations related to social and environmental compliance and integrate any changes or updates into existing policies and procedures. Identifying emerging social and environmental risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
•Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders, such as industry groups, NGOs, and government organizations (if needed), to promote the company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and factories to ensure alignment on social and environmental compliance goals and objectives.
•Prepare and present regular reports, analyzing data to measure the effectiveness of social and environmental compliance performance to senior management, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and potential risks or concerns.
•Lead or participate in cross-functional sustainability initiatives to drive continuous improvement in the company’s social and environmental performance.
•Provide guidance and support to other team members or departments on social and environmental compliance-related issues, as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

•Degree Holder in any discipline
•Should be an expert in auditing transport services provided by the factory to workers and candidate should possess knowledge of transport guidelines as this is very critical.
•Experience in policy implementation, survey benchmarking, and analysis and vendor compliance in the buying/trading Office or manufacturing Industry
•The candidate must have the expertise to check the calibration and other required documentation of such machines.
•Experience conducting social compliance, C-TPAT, and Environmental compliance audits of suppliers and factories.
•Candidates should be brilliant in the subject matter and very pleasant to be able to manage these auditors on-ground.
•Candidate should know hostel guidelines.
•Able to work under pressure, result-oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive, and detail-minded.
•Ability to build strong relationships with the team as a good team leader and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
•Strong problem-solving skills. Able to manage multiple tasks environment.
•Excellent command of written and spoken English & Hindi
•Project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor ESG initiatives and deliverables.
•Experience with ESG data management, reporting, and performance metrics
