Snap India has been a cornerstone of Snap’s growth since 2019. Snap has made significant investments in localizing the app and has successfully built a highly engaged Snapchatter community in India. We are looking for a Manager, Growth & Market Development to join Snap based in Mumbai. In this full-time position, you will report directly to the Head of Growth for Snap, India. As a member of the Growth team, you will be entrusted with the task of expanding the Snapchat community in India through high leverage growth initiatives. You will identify & build initiatives to grow and deepen Snap’s reach within priority user cohorts in India. This may include underpenetrated markets within our core GenZ user base or already existing users to deepen engagement. You will also collaborate with our local cross-functional business teams in India across Content & Partnerships, Sales, global Growth and product teams. You’ll understand user behavior, analyze data, identify trends, craft strategies, lead cross-functional programs, measure impact, and directly contribute to growing highly engaged Snapchatters in India.

What you’ll do

Design & develop market development strategies to acquire & deepen adoption in key cohorts using program and product led growth levers. 

Identify and define strategic partnership opportunities to drive non-linear community growth.

Leverage Cultural moments to enhance cultural relevance at both national and regional levels.

Own the user research & generative insights program to decode user behaviour and use that to influence product & growth strategy.

Scale the college communities program to acquire and increase engagement amongst GenZ users. 

Design other in-app and off-app growth programs to widen the power user base; and apply product thinking to drive “productization” and scale. 

Identify HVAs and execute product experiments to drive user retention & engagement. 

Collaborate with WW teams to drive paid user acquisition / re-engagement.

Serve as an internal advocate within Snapchat for partners, including working with Sales, Growth, Comms and Marketing teams to drive product adoption and narrative building.

Track, analyse and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners.

Serve as a spokesperson for Snapchat with partners.

Collaborate across product, engineering, user growth and other XFN teams to enable growth for partners in specific and the India business in general.


Minimum Qualifications

8-10 years experience working in consumer technology businesses, in growth roles such as user acquisition & retention, product management, consumer marketing, technical business development.

Proven expertise and track record in program and project management - should be able to develop and scale initiatives independently.

Ability to articulate, drive influence without authority, and collaborate effectively with key leaders at all levels.

Strong communication skills - both verbal and written. 

Experience using Snapchat and passion for growing its community in India and the world.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record of driving user growth in social or content led consumer products.

Strategic thinker, who is comfortable with extracting actionable insights from large amounts of data, and use that to build and execute GTM strategies. 

Ability to translate programs to products to drive scalability.

Experience in working independently and cross-functionally to drive multiple projects at the same time.

Experience in managing senior stakeholders and influencing decision-makers inside and outside their organizations.

Be a self-starter, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong execution mindset.

Attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot and thrive in a time-sensitive, dynamic operating environment.

Firm command of communication and presentation skills, good executive presence and the ability to serve as a spokesperson for Snapchat with partners.
