PositionSummary

The Finance Officer(NonProfit) and the Operations Director are responsible forbudgeting financial analysis financial compliance and donorreporting for WomenLift Health. The position reports directly tothe Operations Director.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • With the OperationsDirector lead the budget planning and management process including:
    • Prepare and manage WomenLift Health budgetingand budgets for all functional teams and regional hubs includingmaintaining accurate realtime reconciliations of actuals toforecasted budgets on a monthly basis.
    • Lead the preparation ofproposal budgets and amendment requests.
  • Invoice all grants andcontracts monthly in accordance with multiple funder/donorrequirements.
  • Review and/or generate financialreports in compliance with donor requirements.
  • Analyze spending trends and provide regularfeedback and analysis.
  • Develop regularfinancial reports and interpret financial information for managersand directors while recommending further courses of action.
  • Conduct reviews and analysis for costreductionopportunities.
  • Develop reliable cash flowforecasts and reports and recommend policies and processes toensure adequate cash is available for operational needs.
  • Coordinate with donors and WomenLift staff tocomplete all cost reports in a timely manner including reviewingrecorded activities to ensure acceptance/compliance withcontract/grant regulations.
  • Prepare monthlyquarterly and annual reports as needed.
  • Process invoices as they come in.

Education ExperienceKnowledge Skills and Ability

  • Bachelors degree infinance accounting or economics; financial audit experiencepreferred but not required
  • Advancedquantitative and Excel skills
  • 48 years ofexperience in grants management and working in an INGO financialplanning and budgeting department highlypreferred
  • Prior experience in budget andcontract monitoring
  • Aptitude for presentingfinancial information in understandable formats for multipleaudiences in written and oral formats
  • Demonstrated commitment to social impact andstrong work ethic
  • Proficient user of financesoftware
  • Strong interpersonal communicationand presentation skills
