Job Accountability:


  1. Equipped with product knowledge, able to bet on existing and upcoming categories/trends in the Buying & Merchandising team.
  2. Develop comprehensive strategies for Buying & Merchandising team, capitalizing on the unique strengths of each format, each customer insights, and leveraging effective category management practice.
  3. Formulate comprehensive sourcing and buying plans for both online and offline formats for the year, to meet Buying & Merchandising team needs and that are adaptable to states, local catchments, and store specific needs.
  4. Be the single point contact for the Beauty vendors for Reliance Retail.
  5. Develop, maintain, and enhance vendor relationships, create joint business plans for each format to improve profitability and enhance customer value.
  6. Oversee strategy execution emphasizing continuous improvement, basis the customer trends & insights.
  7. Work closely with business planning team and vendors to ensure consistent 95% product availability.
  8. Co-create category events for all formats & also collaborate with marketing for marketing events.
  9. Optimize profitability through better margins, higher vendor investments & joint event partnership.


Must have :

1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)

2. 4-8 yrs working experience as category manager or brand manager

3.Strong understanding of luxury beauty trends, brands, and consumer preferences.


Skills :

1. Excellent senior stake holder relationship management and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and draw actionable insights

2.Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners

3.Be the go to person for intra-team queries

3.Savvy with Microsoft Office tools, Excel, PPT, Analytics platform like tableau etc.
