Responsibilities :

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
  • Perform database backups, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Monitor database performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Plan and execute cross-platform Oracle database migrations.
  • Develop and implement migration strategies and procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity and minimize downtime during migrations.
  • Perform pre-migration assessments and post-migration validations.
  • Work with different operating systems, and versions of oracle.
  • Perform database upgrades and patching.
  • Implement and maintain database replication and high availability solutions.
  • Develop and maintain database documentation.
  • Optimize SQL queries and database performance.
  • Provide technical support to developers and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure database integration and Skills & Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Strong experience in Oracle database administration and maintenance.
  • Proven experience in cross-platform Oracle database migrations.
  • Proficiency in Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Understanding of different operating systems, and how oracle functions on them.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal :
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., OCA, OCP) are a plus )
