Job Description and Expectations for Oracle Database Administrator:

  1. Proficiency in Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c. Familiarity with PostgreSQL is beneficial but not mandatory.
  2. Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
  3. Hands-on experience in database implementation and deployment.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Oracle security best practices.
  5. Proficiency in database security and encryption.
  6. Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for both Oracle and PostgreSQL (not mandatory).
  7. Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for Oracle and PostgreSQL (not mandatory).
  8. Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle, and SQL and PL/pgSQL for PostgreSQL.
  9. Experience with database monitoring tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, pgAdmin, and Nagios.
  10. Knowledge of cloud-based databases, especially Oracle Cloud and PostgreSQL on AWS, is a plus.

  11. Understanding of SIEM, PIM/PAM tools, and their role in the Database platform is preferred.

  12. 7 years of relevant experience in Oracle Database Administration
