About the Role

Divine Hindu is looking for a Category Manager who can take
full ownership of revenue, margins, pricing, assortment, and growth
across multiple product categories.

This is a high-impact role requiring deep ecommerce understanding, analytical decision-making, and strong leadership across teams.

You will drive category expansion, launch new products, optimize profitability, and improve visibility across all sales channels. Candidates with experience in D2C, marketplace management, and category scaling will excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities
1. Full P&L & Business Ownership

  • Own GMV, revenue, gross margins, contribution margins, profitability, and pricing across the category.
  • Build and execute monthly and quarterly growth plans.
  • Identify strategic assortment gaps and drive new product development and launches.
  • Continuously monitor competition, pricing trends, and category dynamics.

2. Category Management & Growth

  • Manage category performance across Home, Lifestyle, Apparel, Décor, Furniture, Baby/Kids, Kitchen, FMCG, and related verticals.
  • Improve product visibility, SEO ranking, organic share, and conversion rate.
  • Drive merchandising, pricing experiments, and promotional strategies.
  • Scale category revenue through data-backed growth experiments and performance marketing insights.

3. Marketplace Excellence

  • Build and maintain deep relationships with marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, Meesho, Pepperfry, etc.).
  • Lead JBP creation, negotiate terms of trade, and drive joint promotional calendars.
  • Improve category scorecards, reduce cancellations/returns, and enhance brand visibility through optimized listings.
  • Drive ratings, reviews, Q&A, and content optimization to lift overall platform performance.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

Work closely with:

  • Supply Chain:
    Inventory planning, demand forecasting, fill rates, DOS.
  • Marketing:
    Campaign planning, ad content, ROAS optimization, promotions.
  • Creative:
    A+ content, listing creatives, banners, imagery, video assets.
  • Operations:
    Catalog accuracy, stock hygiene, order flow, shipment quality.
  • Finance:
    Margin structures, pricing approvals, profitability tracking.

5. Strategic Operations & Demand Planning

  • Conduct continuous forecasting and maintain high accuracy through data models.
  • Lead sourcing, vendor management, and cost negotiations.
  • Manage assortment planning, buying cycles, timelines, and replenishment.
  • Reduce RTO, return %, damage rates, and operational leakages.

Key Requirements

  • 2–8 years of experience in Ecommerce Category Management / Marketplace Management / D2C growth roles.
  • Strong experience across multiple categories such as Home, Lifestyle, Apparel, Décor, Furniture, Baby/Kids, Kitchen or FMCG.
  • Hands-on expertise in pricing, merchandising, SEO, NPD, and performance-led scaling.
  • Experience launching and scaling D2C brands or categories.
  • Strong analytical ability, high ownership mindset, and sound business judgment.
  • Comfort with cross-functional coordination and fast-paced environments.
  • Proven track record of improving conversion rates, profitability, and operational metrics.
  • Bonus: Entrepreneurial or founder experience.
