Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Officer with 2 to 3

years of proven experience in B2B sales, HORECA, and General Trade (GT) within the FMCG

sector. The ideal candidate should be proficient in client acquisition, relationship management,

and market development, especially within the Mumbai region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and onboard new B2B clients, including corporates, retail chains, HORECA

and institutional buyers.

  • Drive sales through General Trade (GT) channels by building and managing a strong

retailer/distributor network.

  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients to

maximize business growth.

  • Conduct field visits, sales presentations, and product demos to generate leads and

close deals.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to shape

strategic business development plans.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as per organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for customized solutions, product promotion campaigns,

and efficient service delivery.

  • Regularly update sales activities, lead status, and client interactions using CRM tools.
  • Gather and share market feedback to support continuous product and service

improvements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 23 years of field sales experience in the FMCG sector, specifically handling B2B,

HORECA, and General Trade clients.

  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Language proficiency in Hindi and Marathi is a must.
  • Deep understanding of Mumbais FMCG market, consumer demographics, and

distribution networks.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and sales tracking tools.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Highly motivated, target-driven, and adaptable.
  • Prior experience dealing with retail chains, distributors, institutional clients,

HORECA, and GT networks in Mumbai.

  • Comfortable with extensive local travel within Mumbai and surrounding areas.
