Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Coimbatore for the role of Senior Account Manager Business Development. The selected candidate will lead and manage client relationships, identify and pursue business opportunities, and develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth. Responsibilities include overseeing client account management, providing solutions that meet client needs, collaborating with internal teams, and contributing to overall business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Acquisition
- Develop and execute lead generation strategies targeting priority sectors
- Identify decision-makers and establish high-value business conversations
- Drive pipeline growth through outbound campaigns, networking, industry platforms, referrals, and partnerships
- Lead proposal development, pricing structures, service presentations, and contract negotiations
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and client acquisition targets
Strategic Account Management
- Manage key client accounts with ownership of delivery outcomes and satisfaction levels
- Understand workforce planning, hiring volumes, and talent requirements across multiple functions
- Partner with internal delivery teams to ensure high-quality and timely candidate submissions
- Strengthen client retention, upsell solutions, and expand service offerings
- Conduct review meetings, performance reporting, and service excellence improvements
Market & Commercial Intelligence
- Track market trends, talent demands, and sector hiring behaviour
- Provide insights to refine positioning, service scope, and commercial models
- Evaluate competitor offerings and develop differentiators
Performance, Reporting & Governance
- Maintain CRM accuracy for pipeline, account activities, and conversion metrics
- Present weekly and monthly business growth dashboards to management
- Ensure compliance with recruitment protocols, documentation, and ethical standards
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong B2B sales, negotiation, and client management skills
- Demonstrated track record in generating new business in recruitment or staffing industry
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and delivery expectations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement ability
- High autonomy, leadership capability, and decision-making confidence
- Familiarity with CRM/ATS tools, digital sales strategies, and social prospecting
Preferred Experience & Background
- Minimum
6+ years
in recruitment business development, account management, or staffing sales - Experience working with Recruitment / Staffing sales.
- Proven success in securing mandates and scaling client accounts
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Marketing, or related field preferred
