Sales Officer- Modern Trade

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Distribution
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Ensure product availability and visibility across retail outlets.
- Expand numeric & weighted distribution by adding new outlets.
- Monitor and manage distributor stock, orders, and secondary sales.
2. Market Development
- Identify new business opportunities and develop trade channels.
- Execute company trade marketing and promotional activities at ground level.
- Track competitor activities and share timely market intelligence.
3. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to credit policies.
4. Execution & Compliance
- Ensure planogram, merchandising, and visibility standards are met at POS.
- Conduct regular market visits for route coverage and trade engagement.
- Track sales performance through daily/weekly reporting systems.
5. Team & Distributor Management (if applicable)
- Train distributor salesmen on product knowledge, selling skills, and market execution.
- Monitor distributor ROI, claims, and profitability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- On time ground execution of trade promotions and strategies in every trade channel
- Achievement of sales volume & value targets.
- Market share improvement vs competitors.
- Timely collections and credit hygiene.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in Business/Commerce/Marketing (MBA preferred).
- 1–4 years of sales experience in FMCG managing GT/MT (Preferably D Mart, Regional chains, Reliance)
- Strong knowledge of local geography and retail landscape.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools.

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building ability.
- Target-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20, ₹35,000.00 per month
